That won't do anything to stop lag, it would actually create more because it's still being run on the same computer.

Yes. Lag is caused by using up all your internet transfer or CPU; neither are directly related to the actual program, but the server.
Server = Computer that the game is being hosted on
Game = Dream seeker, a program.
